it was aged in a combination of medium size French oak barrels and Slavonian oak casks

There is a lovely vibrancy to the very rich middle weight flavors that exhibit a refreshing salinity on the lingering finish

So pure and clean in the extremely long finish

Rene Engel, Echezeaux other_regions_italy The nose is very complex(from the En Orveaux climat with vines planted in 1924 and 1979). This is a big step up in quality with very ripe, earthy and spicy black fruit aromas that are a clearly pinot but the vintage is also well in evidence. The forward and supple flavors offer good depth and plenty of character plus a finish that is serious yet delicious and quite long all wrapped in dusty tannins. (88 91) 2010+
