Satisfying 19th Century Tin on Wood Carpet Stretcher with Orange Painted Back little yellow house I believe dominoes rivals cribbageI believe this is a late ish 19th century carpet stretcher. I just love it as an object. The carpet stretchers I have seen of this sort have rows of teeth; here instead a sharp but lovely six petal flower pattern stretched across its surface and nailed to the wooden support, with a perfect orange painted reverse. A satisfying thing. 10 7 16 x 6 7 8 including iron loops x 5 8 thick. Very good antique condition.
